Which is a far cry from the projection the St Pete Times put on their web site when it was still 2,000 miles away and the national hurricane center projected it to head toward the Carolinas from the beginning. But the St Pete Times doesn't advertise for Lowes and Home Depot and Publix in South Carolina...

Well we are about 3/4 of the way through it realistically speaking. Hurricane season starts June 1st and ends December 1st. (Nice birthday present!) and September tends to be the worst so another month at most.
Actually, GL, the season ends November 30. So THERE'S your birthday present!
Looks like Jeane has decided to head back tword the mainland. Hope she changes her mind and goes back out to sea.
